Mexicans are reclaiming the FIFA World Cup with street celebrations as high ticket prices keep many out of stadiums
Come enjoy the third match of the Mexican National Team at Casa México Los Angeles as they head into the Round of 16 this Wednesday, June 24th at 4 pm!
As Matchday 2 continues in the 2026 World Cup, the Round of 32 picture is beginning to take shape. Two of the tournament's three co-hosts, the United States and Mexico, have already clinched their respective groups and will advance to the knockout stage.
The group stage match between Mexico and South Korea was almost the exact opposite of everything it was supposed to be. It was physical. It was a grind. It was slow to a crawl to the point the Mexican crowd at Estadio Akron eviscerated their team with boos as they walked off the pitch at the half.
Some questioned whether it was best to hire Javier Aguirre for a third stint leading the Mexican national team, but the team's group win has silenced critics.
Goalkeeper Raúl “Tala" Rangel made the key play that assured Mexico of reaching the knockout stage of the World Cup.
